A Gargoyle by Any Other Name....

And now, let us return to the keen-eyed watchers we left on their gargoyle perches... or, as some might describe it, the nondescript rooftop. Seriously, do you see anything even remotely resembling a gargoyle on that roof?

And, frankly, I'm not all that comfortable with Sandman's dialogue there. Telling a young boy to take out his gun and get ready for the leap of his life sounds like a metaphor for a proposition that would land Sandman in prison anywhere except Thailand.

And what the hell is a "wirepoon gun" anyway?

I don't know about them being 'keen-eyed watchers'---neither of them know what's happening...

I thought about using "Wirepoon" in a joke as part of this comment, but then thought better and deleted it.

It was a good one, though.. it involved foreign hookers and.. umm, nevermind.

Yay, me. Getting better, one deleted comment at a time.

Somewhere, I have actually seen schematics for Sandy's Wirepoon gun. It is truely awesome.

But yeah, I see nary a gargoyle.

The wirepoon gun was unspeakably lame. It basically shot a sharp projectile with a wire attached so he could swing on it. Why they decided *that* made more sense than sleeping gas for a guy who called himself the Sandman, I'll never understand....
